Blogging Flunky

I was talking about blogging today with somebody and really have got to be more consistent. I don’t have a lot of faithful readers but if I want to keep the ones I have I need to produce more content. So I did pretty well for a while with the 5-minute blogs. The problem with that was it never took me just five minutes and most of the time I was rushing and my writing skills are bad enough, so rushing certainly wasn’t helping. I don’t have any divine plan on how to make this happen. However, it seems like lately I have found myself speaking some pretty big challenges to myself because if I speak them I more apt to follow through. So I am speaking more consistent blogging. So thoughts for a Monday:

·         Wrapped up The Ultimate Fighter and a bunch of our men made some commitments before God and their spouses (if applicable) to be the priests of their household.

·         Record breaking crowd yesterday. Beat Easter even with some regulars out. Thank you God for signs of growth.·         I loved the manly vibe in church. Clearly there needs to be more testosterone in church.

·         I want to thank Rafael for creating a spectacular video representation of everything manly. You deserve a Gold Man Card for that.

·         Really, really, really excited to start One Prayer next week. God has given me a great prayer for our church and I don’t believe that it will be easily forgotten.

·         I am up late tonight spending the resources that God has blessed us with.  As promised we will spend it as fast as possible because we are a ministry not a savings and loan. Be there Sunday to check out what we purchased.

·         Met tonight with a future keyboardist. Yes, that’s right. We have musicians coming out of the word work. Still believing God for a drummer but so far we have 5 guys. Since some of them can play multiple instruments we have 4 guitar players, 2 bass players and a keyboardist. May be a while before we get to utilize the keyboardist but I am excited to see God working in this area of ministry.

·         Getting ready to make some changes in our children’s ministry to handle some growing pains. (They don’t hurt near as bad as not growing pains) Still praying that God would send somebody with some BIG faith to oversee this ministry so our church can see some of my wife’s other talents.

·         My son witnessed to a cashier in Target today and brought her and another lady in line to tears. It is bringing me to prideful tears just thinking about my little man sharing Jesus.

·         Has anybody ever decorated a 24’ trailer for an Independence Day Parade? If so I could use your thoughts.

·         One last thought… I am just weeks away from becoming an uncle which is pretty exciting. I was just informed that my sister is planning to use cloth diapers. I can’t wait to hear how that is going. I have a “big load” of advice for her but this is a lesson she needs to learn on her own.

So not bad 25 minutes. As a point of warning… I said that I would be more consistent but I can’t make any promises about the quality of content.
