I’m Back, I Think…

I know a lot of really dedicated bloggers give day to day updates on their vacations but I am just not that sold out. We had an incredible trip and my wife did a wonderful job of planning the whole thing. We saw a bunch of wild life, experienced the great outdoors, were exposed to new cultures (boat/airplane access only islands) and even had time to catch a few rays. Check out some pics here.

Playing catch-up at work since we got back and also with the church but for some personal updates I became an uncle on Father’s Day which is pretty cool. I want to congratulate my sister and my brother-in-law Jimmy on their beautiful baby girl. My son is all excited about the thought of having a cousin. I don’t think he realizes that he is losing his corner on the grandparent market but at least he is still the only boy.

Owen got me a pretty cool manly gift for daddy day. His mom tried to get him to do something crafty and make some pottery but he came through and made me a plate designated for bringing meat in off the grill.

Since my dad was at the hospital most of the day awaiting my sister’s baby I didn’t really have a chance to wish him a Happy Fathers Day. Since my sisters birth the world has revolved around her… just kidding. I want my dad to know that even though I didn’t give him a grandbaby on Father’s Day, I do love him and appreciate him.

We have one more week of One Prayer and I am looking forward to closing it out strong. We are excited about what God is doing and were excited to be able to participate in the One Prayer Project to plant 500 churches in China, Cambodia, India and Africa. I am proud of how our group responded to this great missions opportunity.

Harmony and Owen are headed out of town tomorrow to take care of our rental property in Orlando. I am hoping this will give me the time needed to put out a few more blogs this week.
